Services

Literary Rescue Service
Beta reading. Line editing. Overall structure. Plot holes. Alternative ideas. Thinking outside the box. Dialogue/description pitfalls. Addressing weaknesses. Synopsis and blurb. I could go on, but every work is different and requires an individual approach.  It's basically giving holistic advice on how to make your submission as stupendous as it can be. Send me your stuff and I'll give you a quote.  It won't be as much as others charge because my main motivation is giving budding writers a leg up.

Going it Alone? Self Publishing is the New Black
I'll correctly format and publish your book as a paperback (using Ingram Spark). I can also format your manuscript as an e-Book ( for tablet) or Mobi (for Kindle)  - or convert it straight for sale on Amazon as a Kindle Direct Publication.  Both services Includes keywords, blurb, description and a simple cover design.

Pen For Hire
For non fiction or essays, I offer a simpler service.  Re-writing what you wrote to polish it up.  Told you it was simple.
Copywriting.
Academic writing and editing (theses and articles). CV's and covering letters. Public relations. social media and blogging.
Ghost writing. Advertising blurb (I used to work for an ad agency). Best man speeches (Why not?). Even poetry for a loved one.  Anything you want, really.
I draw the line at the inside of Christmas cards.

Talks and Workshops
I've given literary talks and workshops all over the UK (see testimonials). Now that I've moved to Australia, I'm doing the same here.
You can book me directly through agencies like AILA or Speakers Ink. I charge standard ASA recommended rates.
I can give talks and workshops alone or with
Brisbane author Jem McCusker.
I have a Scottish accent but it's not in Trainspotting territory. And I'm an ex tour guide so I don't even need a microphone.
