All prices are in Australian Dollars, or the equivalent in US Dollars or GB Pounds. Though presently based in Australia, I have lived in the UK and the USA and work with authors all over the world. If you prefer, email me and I'll give you a quote. My philosophy is to make everything as inexpensive, painless and transparent as possible. All correspondence is strictly confidential.
And, if you are not happy with my service, you don't pay. Simple as that.
Face-to-Face Consultation (Short)
A one-on-one consultation tailored to your specific project. This is your chance to gain insight and make sure you're headed in the right direction. You’ll also receive a helpful follow-up report. Available in-person or online via Zoom or WhatsApp. Face-to-face consults include pre-reading of two sample chapters or a short story.

Consultation (Long)
Personalised advice on whatever aspects of your manuscript bother you most! It can be goals, insights, development, critiquing or industry advice. I will read 6,000 words of your manuscript and talk to you in two one-on-one sessions (online or in person), as well as provide a written report on your work.

Mentorship
A mentorship gives you the opportunity for us to work on a project from start to finish and is most suitable for a writer beginning a manuscript or on their first rough draft. Feedback can be verbal, written, or a combination of the two. Whatever works best. We will go over your work in progress as it develops, to ensure that the finished manuscript is the best it possibly can be.
$150 AUD per 50 pages
The Harvard Package. Manuscript Assessment
I will give a complete overview of what works and what doesn’t in your manuscript - with suggestions for improvement and advice on the direction you can take. You can request a focus on certain aspects of the work, like pacing, characters, prose, industry insights and anything else you want to know about. You will receive a full written report, usually about 30 pages long and an online or in-person meeting with me. I’ll even buy you a coffee.
SPECIAL OFFER. For a limited time, the HARVARD manuscript assessment will also include a copy edit of the first couple of chapters of your manuscript.

The St Andrews Package. Getting the Beginning Right
The beginning is the most important part of your manuscript, so you have to get it right! Send me a one-page synopsis and the first chapter of your manuscript (or the first 15 pages). I’ll give you feedback either in a written report or a chat — whichever you prefer. The focus will be on helping you create a strong opening, developing a clear narrative voice, staying focused on your topic, and making your main idea shine through. In both cases, you’ll also get suggestions on how to take the work further.

The Edinburgh Package. Everything you need to self-publish your book!
Our most popular package. I’ll professionally format your finished manuscript and design an appropriate book cover that you can upload to Ingram Spark (hardcover) and Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (eBook). Includes ISBN number, back blurb and uploading instructions.
Print and eBook $500 AUD (or the equivalent in USD/GBP).
The Melbourne Package. Ongoing Mentorships
This is an ongoing mentorship for novel writers, giving you the opportunity to receive and apply advice over an ongoing period. My feedback can be verbal, written, or a combination of the two - whatever suits you best.
The Yale Package. Developmental edit plus partial copy/line edit (novels/novellas only)
HARVARD plus extras. I'll format your work to industry standards, add a blurb and synopsis and include pre- and post-discussions if desired. (either face-to-face or over Zoom/Skype/WhatsApp). I'll also provide a copy edit for the first 20 pages.

The Oxford Package. Copy/line edit with notes and track changes (Short stories and essays under 8,000 words)
This focuses on content, style and language. In short, making the writing as smooth and readable as possible. Includes formatting.

The Cambridge Package. Developmental edit plus full line edit of entire manuscript (novels only)
YALE plus a full copy edit. In short, make your manuscript as impressive as it can possibly be.

Generally, the last stage in completing any manuscript. Spotting all the tiny mistakes and errors that annoy a reader. Oops. You forgot a full stop there.
